Is this OK for a tab style?
I'll offer a piece of tab that I did for someone recently. It's not my usual favorite style of music, but what the hey. I'm not very good with chord names, so maybe somebody can correct or help me.
Intro: G G(add a Bflat like 320013) G(add a C like 320033) G (add a B flat as before)...D
During the verse, the guitar usually throws in a Dsus (xx0233) on the first chord.
What I call chords and what they really mean. D/F# is (200232)
D You know a dream is like a river,
G D ever changing as it flows
G D/F# And the dreamer's just a vesse and I know I'll take some falls
Em D/F# But with the Good Lord as my Captain
A I can make it through them all. whats in store
D Makes each day a constant battle
A D just to stay between the shores.
D And I will sail my vessel G D till the River runs dry
G D/F# Like a bird upon the wind
Em A these waters are my sky
D I'll never reach my destination
G D if I never try so I will sail my vessel
A D Till the River runs dry.
Too many times we stand aside and let the waters slip away Till what we've put off till tomorrow has now become today So don't you sit upon the shoreline and say you're satisfied Choose to chance the rapids and dare to dance the tide.
CHORUS
BRIDGE
Bm G Well there's bound to be rough waters
D D/F# G and I know I'll take some falls
Em D/F# But with the Good Lord as my Captain
A I can make it through them all.
E Yes I will sail my vessel A E till the River runs dry
A E/G# Like a bird upon the wind
F#m B these waters are my sky
E I'll never reach my destination
A if I never try
E so I will sail my vessel
B E A Till the River runs dry.
E B A Yes I will sail my vessel Till the River runs dry.
You can fake a good ending staying on the A and suspending it (x02230) and ending on the E.
