WWW.AZCHORDS.COM | Asgeir - King And Cross Tabs | Ver. 1
On the time signature:
The rhythm in this song is catchy but tricky. The chords instruments play a rhythm
figure with a period of 3/4, while the drums play a standard backbeat rhythm with
a period of 4/4 or 2/4. Thus, the two catch up after every 6 beats (3/4 x 2), which
gives the songs its laidback 6/4-like groove. The fact that you could notate and count
both 3/4 and 2/4 is called a "poly-rhythmic" groove.
The acoustic guitar figure:
- Capo on the 2nd fret.
- The easy part of the song is that, this is all there is, all the way through:

(The pull-off fill at the end extends into the following
round. It does take a bit of practice to get that right.)
The electric guitar:
On top of the acoustic guitar, there is an electric guitar adding some high
notes. This is does not follow a pattern as such and is not very easy to notate
here. Perhaps I will do that in a guitar pro tab.
LYRICS
**********
Glistening nighttime dew, and she is walking with me.
From the house of red I hear a child crying.
Foxes heading home, their prey hangs from their jaws.
And the forest knows, but it won't share the secret.
When the king takes sides,
leaving moral minds, soldiers take their share.
Night hawks seem to sense that now is the time.
Deep inside them burns the raging fire of life.
He'll take back what he owns.
Death cannot take hold, if I can keep momentum.
Fortresses of stone turn into crystal tears
Soothed by southern winds, I've found my strength now.
And nobody knows, and we must keep their secret.
