Midnight Rider - Allman Brothers
Lyrics from cs.uwp.edu
CRDs by Steve Vetter

This is all probaby wrong and there really are two guitars on
playing the riff ad infinitum and the other plays the chords.
Maybe. Anyway I figured this out so no guarantees! Start by
fingering a D chord for the riff (It makes it much easier).
 D D U D U D (I think, I am without guitar so....)

(You can also strike several strings at the same time and it'll
sound good, just follow the picking pattern)

D G
I got to run to keep from hiding
D G
And I'm bound to keep on riding
D G
And I've got one more silver dollar
C G
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
C D
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider

I don't own the clothes I wear
And the road goes on forever
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider

I've gone past the point of caring
About whose bed I'll soon be sharing
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
(3X)
