What Could Have Been Love Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Aerosmith
What Could of Been Love (From the album "Music From Another Dimension")
--------------------------------------
Doing most of this from memory but it should give you a pretty good start
on the song. Also the F# at the end of the first chorus sounds like it
degrades to an F#m, however you could probably still use an A chord and get
away with it. The G#m in the chorus also feels a bit rough but you can play
around with it and find some variation that fits the bill.

Verse 1:
  D G Bm
I wake up and wonder how everything went wrong.
   A G
Am I the one to blame?
  D G Bm
I gave up and left you for a nowhere-bound train.
         A G
Now that train has come and gone.
  Em Bm
I close my eyes and see you lying in my bed.
    D A G
And I still dreamed of that day.

Chorus:
E G#m
What could have been love,
                     F#m B E
Should have been the only thing that was ever meant to be.
             G#m A B E
Didn't know, couldn't see what was right in front of me.
                 G#m F#m B C#m
And now that I'm alone all I have is emptiness that comes from being free.
                     B F#
What could have been love will never be.

Verse 2:
   D G
An old friend who told me that you found somebody new.
Bm A G
Oh, you're finally moving on.
    D G
You think that I'd be over you after all these years.
Bm A G#m
Yeah, but time has proved me wrong.
                         G
'Cause I'm still holdin' on.

Chorus:
E G#m
What could have been love,
                     F#m B E
Should have been the only thing that was ever meant to be.
             G#m A B E
Didn't know, couldn't see what was right in front of me. (What could of been love)
                 G#m F#m B C#m
And now that I'm alone all I have is emptiness that comes from being free.
                     B A
What could have been love will never be.

Bridge:
F#m C#m
We've gone our separate ways. Say goodbye to another day.
F#m C#m
I still wonder where you at. Are you too far from turning back?
D B
You were slipping through my hands and I didn't understand.

Chorus:
E G#m
What could have been love,
                     F#m B E
Should have been the only thing that was ever meant to be.
             G#m A B E
Didn't know, couldn't see what was right in front of me. (What could of been love)
                 G#m F#m B C#m
And now that I'm alone all I have is emptiness that comes from being free.
                     B A
What could have been love will never be.
                     B
What could have been love will never be.
                              E - B - A - B
What could have been love...
                              E - B - A - B
What could have been love...
                              E - B - A - B E - B - A
What could have been love...
